Terese Genecco is a 2010 MAC Award Nominee for MAJOR ARTIST, a 2009 MAC Award Winner for OUTSTANDING FEMALE VOCALIST (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs,) a 2009 Out Music Award Winner for Best Cabaret/Theater/Comedy Song, a 2008 MAC Award Winner for Best Recording and Nominee for Outstanding Female Vocalist, a 2007 Back Stage Bistro Award Winner for Best Tribute Show, a 2006 MAC Award Nominee for Best Debut Female Vocalist, and was named to Time Out New York Magazine's Top 10 Best Cabaret Shows of 2006 and 2007.
Genecco first leapt to national prominence for her award-winning performances of her original jazz/musical creation, “DRUNK WITH LOVE: A TRIBUTE TO FRANCES FAYE!” which debuted at San Francisco's New Conservatory Theatre Center for a five-week run in 2005 and went on to play multiple engagements in New York City and Hollywood.
Genecco is currently a headliner at The Iridium Jazz Club on Broadway in New York City (on the Last Tuesday of every month) with her 8-piece *little big band*! Terese is known in San Francisco as their "Entertainer of the Year" where she appears at THE RRAZZ ROOM in the Hotel Nikko in downtown San Francisco. Other performances of note are as the opening act for Grammy-winner Steve Tyrell at The Bergen Performing Arts Center in New Jersey; as a headliner at The Peppermill Resort & Casino in Reno; The M Bar & Restaurant in Hollywood; The Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs (where she won a Desert Theater League Award,) and B.B. King's Blues Club & Grill and Rose Hall at Jazz @ Lincoln Center in New York City.
